Whether it's for business close to the Loop and McCormick Place or a
staycation-friendly spot close to the Art Institute, The Shedd Aquarium, The Field Museum, shopping, Millenium Park and Navy Pier, please consider the historic neighborhood of Bridgeport for your stay.
A traditionally working class neighborhood, it's located minutes outside downtown Chicago and about 20 minutes by car from Midway Airport. A bit faster by the orange line.
I took this picture the other night of St. Mary of Perpetual Help's beautiful dome.
It was built in 1882, (about 4 years before our home was built) to serve the Polish community's Catholic faithful.
In 1886, our Bridgeport coach house likely had horses and someone to tend to them, with sleeping quarters above the stalls.
The top of the coach house is where those servants relaxed, laughed and slept.
Now, our rehabbed 1886 coach house is available as a comfy, private vacation rental in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood, in a modern, yet historic setting.

Say the word and we'll give you directions to the Sox game, the Bridgeport Art Center, Zhou B Gallery, helicopter tours, or one of many fine restaurants and brew pubs in the neighborhood.
Just a 10 minute drive from Chicago's Loop, the Museum Campus and shopping on the
Magnificent Mile, rest your head in the heart of Bridgeport, home to five mayors and some of the finest examples of the classic Chicago worker cottage.
